Callala Bay sits at the northern end of Jervis Bay, where the sand is white and the water is calm and clear enough to see the bottom from the jetty. A small village with a protected harbour, a working boat ramp and some of the easiest swimming on the coast.
The streets closest to the bay hold the most sought-after homes, with views south across the water toward Point Perpendicular. It’s the kind of place people visit once and then start checking listings.
House prices in Callala Bay have lifted 8.3% over the past year, with 485 buyers watching a market that had only 18 houses available last month. Houses here return a rental yield of 3.5%, with a median rent of $620 a week.

Callala Bay offers a mix of original beach cottages, renovated family homes and newer builds designed around the view. Strong holiday rental demand through the warmer months makes it a steady choice for investors, and homes with bay frontage or clear water views are rarely offered and tightly held when they are.
The village has everything for the week: an IGA, bakery, butcher, chemist and a couple of cafes. Club Callala has an 18-hole course where the kangaroos outnumber the golfers. On the second Saturday of each month, the Callala Markets fill up with local makers. The dolphins visit more often than that.
Callala Beach, the longest in Jervis Bay, runs south from the village. Take the ferry from Myola across to Huskisson for lunch. Nowra is twenty minutes inland, Sydney just over two hours north.
